Three rarest red diamonds

Among them is a 1,56-carat fancy red stone dubbed the Argyle Phoenix.

“Since the mining of these mines began in 1983, only 6 stones that received the GIA Fancy Red status have been offered for sale at the annual tender,” said Argyle Pink Diamonds manager Josephine Johnson. “And to present three such stones at once is a unique case.”

The tender will also include the following stones: Argyle Seraphina purplish pink diamond, weighing 2,02 carats, SI2 clarity; intense pink Argyle Aurelia in 1,18 ct SI2 purity; Argyle Dauphine in 2.51 carats deep hot pink and SI2 clarity; and the Argyle Celestial, weighing 0.71 carats in a vibrant blue-gray color cut in a heart shape and VS1 clarity.
