Haircut cascade - different technologies for creating one hairstyle
Contents:
The word "cascade" appeared in Russian from the French "cascade", which means a waterfall, and also from the Italian "cascata" - a fall. Among acrobats and stuntmen, this word means a cinematic or acrobatic trick that imitates a fall. In architecture, it is customary to call a cascade a complex of buildings based on an artificial waterfall or a whole series of such. But for fashionistas and hairdressers, this word is associated with a completely different association - a universal, multifaceted, cascading haircut suitable for absolutely everyone without exception. The falling strands of this hairstyle look no less harmonious than the famous masterpieces of architecture, and the curls look as bold and spectacular as the jumps of a stuntman on the screen. This creation is called - a haircut cascade.
Its shape was suggested to stylists by nature itself. Indeed, it is based on curls that smoothly falling and softly flowing like streams of mountain rivers, which can decorate and transform a woman with any face shape and hair type, which is proved by numerous photos and the extraordinary popularity of hairstyles.
Technique of execution
A cascade haircut is universal, and, accordingly, the technique of its implementation is no less universal. Despite the fact that there are general principles for performing this hairstyle, every hairdresser does it in its own way, trying to diversify and bring to perfection.
The cascade cutting technology in the classic version implies strands cut in cascade (layers, steps) starting from the neck level and below.
Examples of such hairstyles can be seen in the photo.
The creative version of this hairstyle is hedgehog on the back of the head with a sharp drop down, like the models in the following photos.
It may look completely different and face framing shape... This can be: a semicircle, a torn edge, clearly defined steps, etc.
In this haircut, it is permissible to use the most innovative hairdressing techniques, but the basis for them is still the basic forms of this hairstyle.
Cascade with one control strand
This cascade haircut technique considered a classic... On its basis, very beautiful hairstyles are obtained. Depending on the length and structure of the hair, it can look completely different. Photos are indisputable proof of this.
Work begins with the choice of the control strand... This strand can be located at the highest point of the head on the crown or on the back of the head. Depending on its location, a different cascade pattern is obtained, as shown in the diagram and photo.
The size of the control strand is approximately 1,5 * 1,5 cm, the length for medium hair is 6-8 cm. The hair on the head is separated by radial parting. The control strand is cut strictly at an angle 90⁰. All other strands are combed out to the control, which in the language of specialists is called a fixed design line, and cut to its length.
For convenience, the hair is divided into sectors, as shown in the diagram.
A cascading haircut is obtained due to the different lengths of the strands throughout the head. The further the strand is from the control point, the longer it is.
The layout of the hair in space will help to visualize this.
On the temples and in the region of the crown, the cascading effect of the hairstyle is achieved as follows. A control strand is cut in the center of the crown, and the rest of the hair is pulled to it according to the same principle as on the back of the head. This is clearly shown in the diagram.
Women's haircut cascade, made using this technology, is ideal for medium-length hair, as well as for long strands. She looks very good on curly hair or in combination with a perm, the undoubted proof of which are the photos.
In this case, styling the haircut cascade is absolutely simple and quick. Curly, rebellious hair falls into smooth cascading waves, providing its owner with the perfect hairstyle shape.
How stylist Alexander Todchuk selects and makes this haircut can be seen in the video.
Star method
This method is used to obtain lively, dynamic hair with lightweight ends of the strands. A cascade haircut made using this technology indicates the presence of a certain level of skill of the hairdresser. It is performed as follows:
- A rather large star-shaped hair area with sharp edges stands out in the crown area.
- The hair in this area is combed, lifted perpendicular to the surface of the head, twisted into a tourniquet, and cut to the desired length.
- The curls of the lower occipital zones are trimmed using the beam method. The strand is cut at an angle roughly corresponding to the difference between the smallest and largest hair lengths in the control strand. As a result of the smooth sliding of the scissors along the strand, a curved line is obtained that corresponds to the natural direction of hair growth.
- At the next stage, the "star" is pulled up and cut to the desired length.
- Finally, the ends of the hair are milled.
- The edging of such a haircut is performed by poiting or an indirect cut.
The result is a spectacular torn haircut cascade, like the girl in the photo.
Haircut with a length line around the perimeter
A cascade haircut, performed using this technology, involves the following steps, shown schematically in the figure.
- First, a length line is drawn along the perimeter of the hairstyle.
- The parietal zone in a zigzag shape is highlighted and clipped to the desired control length of the crown.
- A sliding section of the occipital sector is performed.
- Also, the temporal zones are made out with a sliding cut.
- Asymmetrical bangs are formed.
- The temporal contour is formed.
- The lower part of the hair is shaped using the slicing method.
The result is a very interesting cascade haircut, like the girls in the photo.
Currently, a lot of videos have appeared on the network showing how to make a cascade yourself, for example, this one.
You can follow the girl's advice, however, before you do it, think carefully, maybe it is better to entrust such a responsible job as a haircut to a professional?
