It's all about the pasta, or a recipe with citric acid for sugaring

To achieve unusually smooth and delicate skin, you can use the popular procedure - sugaring, or sugar hair removal. Lovers of this method claim that after the first time, not a single hair remains on the body, even the shortest one. However, many girls, who decided to try the miracle method, suffered a fiasco even at its initial stage - making caramel paste. Indeed, the success and effectiveness of shugaring directly depends on the quality of the applied product. Even professionals sometimes face setbacks, let alone newbies. Let's figure out how to avoid mistakes and create the perfect pasta in your kitchen based on a recipe with citric acid.

Recipe (with citric acid)

This recipe will suit the owners too sensitive skin, as it replaces the lemon with an alternative. Plus, the process becomes even easier as you don't have to squeeze and strain the lemon juice.

Lemon acid

The composition is extremely simple:

  • 10 tablespoons of sugar;
  • 1/2 teaspoon citric acid
  • 4 tablespoons of water.

Sugar with water in a metal container

Technology of preparation:

Combine sugar and water in a metal container, place it on the smallest fire. Stirring continuously, observe the changes in the paste: first, it acquires a yellowish tint, then begins to darken and publish a pleasant caramel flavor... This is a signal that it is time to dilute the mass with citric acid and remove from the heat to avoid burning. Next, it is recommended to pour into a plastic container and wait for it to cool.

If you notice that not all of the sugar has melted, cover the container with a lid just before turning off the heat and simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes. The resulting citric acid product should be soft and pliable.

Sugar paste for sugaring

Recipe (in the microwave)

Composition:

  • 6 tablespoons of sugar;
  • 1/2 teaspoon citric acid
  • 2 tablespoons of water.

Technology of preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a glass or microwave-safe container and let sit for 2 minutes (time based on medium microwave).

The recipe in the microwave is different in that sugar and water are mixed with citric acid at once.

If you have a high-power microwave, then first put it on for one minute, gradually adding 15 seconds and observing the color and "behavior" of the paste - it should turn light yellow, then gradually darken. An important condition is do not overexpose and achieve a light cognac color. Then we take out and, stirring, cool. This is the quickest and easiest recipe.

After incomplete cooling of the mixture, you can proceed to the next stage - knead it so that as a result it turns from a transparent brown caramel into a yellowish pearlescent toffee. This will be evidence that you did everything right, and in front of you is the perfect paste for sugaring.

In the future, you will be able to prepare caramel syrup in larger volumes, then the time for subsequent procedures will be significantly reduced: you just need to heat up the required amount of the product until foam forms. The resulting substance should be stored in a dry and dark place.

Shugaring feet

Possible reasons for failure

It happens that the recipe is followed, and the shugaring paste is prepared correctly, but the result still leaves much to be desired. To rule out such cases, use a few tips:

  1. Carry out shugaring without waiting for the paste to cool completely.
  2. After application, remove the paste immediately, without allowing it to soften under the influence of your body temperature.
  3. Do not apply large amounts of product at once.
  4. Maintain tension on the skin in the treated area.
  5. The skin must be dry, treated with talcum powder (baby powder), otherwise the mass will stick, but not remove hairs.

Citric acid paste

Adjust the consistency of the product depending on the temperature indicators: if you always have cold hands and body, a softer paste will do, otherwise a thicker one.
