Who is eligible for aesthetic medicine procedures?

About 70 percent of women and 40 percent of men visit beauty salons and beauty salons. The market in the field of aesthetic medicine in our country is developing very rapidly. Already in 2015-2016, we could observe growth of 10-12 percent per year, while the world average was only 8,2%. What are the most popular aesthetic medicine procedures in Poland. Who are they for? What kind of people most often visit specialists in this field? How much do you have to pay for beauty with the latest technology?

Aesthetic medicine can be used in three different areas. Firstly, it helps to prevent defects, secondly, it corrects imperfections, and thirdly, it treats changes resulting from an illness, such as discoloration of the skin or herpes.

What can be improved?

Modern methods of aesthetic medicine differ from the stereotypical ideas about the exaggerated, artificial effects of this type of treatment. The methods currently used are primarily focused on soft correction. Filling existing wrinkles with botulinum toxin or botulinum toxin, or simply commonly known as Botox, has been one of the most popular cosmetic procedures for many years. This is an injection of a substance under the skin to fill existing wrinkles. Due to its properties, Botox can block nerve impulses that lead directly to contractions in the facial muscles of the person being treated, which in turn causes wrinkles. Surgi Wire will become a modern method for the correction of deep wrinkles. It consists in introducing a very thin wire made of stainless steel under the surface of the skin and making a hypodermic loop from it, the task of which is to relax the muscles responsible for a particular wrinkle. The procedure itself takes only a moment, and the effect is visible already on the first day after its implementation.

One of the most popular procedures in recent times is skin regeneration using platelet-rich plasma, which is extracted from the patient's blood. It is injected under the skin through several punctures of different depths. What are the results of this? First of all, by stimulating tissues to the natural regeneration process, producing collagen and reducing imperfections and wrinkles. A facelift is intended for people who want to increase the tension of their own skin in a non-invasive way or to get rid of excess skin associated, for example, with old age or weight loss. The methods of carrying out the procedure differ significantly from each other according to the technology used. The use of substances with filling properties, such as adipose tissue taken from a patient or hyaluronic acid, will certainly be innovative. Previously, and now extremely popular, methods involved the use of ultrasounds, microcurrents, which were designed to stimulate muscles, warm up tissues, and therefore increase skin tension. In the event that a patient needs to remove defects that have undergone herpes or past injuries, laser removal of stretch marks, age spots or scars is a proven and reliable method. How does it really work? Briefly, laser pulses destroy the tissue that forms the discoloration or scar. At the same time, they stimulate the skin to produce healthy cells. This is a very comfortable procedure, since the risk of possible complications is low, the pain is almost imperceptible, and the effect is long-term.

Who most often resorts to aesthetic medicine procedures?

Aesthetic medicine is not reserved exclusively for the fair sex. Undoubtedly, women are in the majority (nearly 96 percent), but men also benefit from this type of treatment. Clinics providing services in the field of aesthetic medicine are most often visited by people aged 45-55 years. Elderly people, starting from the age of 56, together make up more than 1/3 of all clients. 35-year-olds living outside the aforementioned zone usually choose sparing firming, rejuvenating and caring treatments. Patients over 45 are most often given a facelift, while those over 50 are most likely to have facial features corrected. More than 70 percent of our compatriots are considering using aesthetic medicine procedures, and 23 percent see such an opportunity in the near future.
